CS 1.6 assault maps download – 9 cs_assault remakes for counter-strike 1.6 in one RAR archive. cs_assault is one of the official CS 1.6 hostage rescue maps, and this cs 1.6 map pack collects its community remakes as ready-to-use .bsp files.
Use the pack to add custom assault maps to your server map cycle or to play them offline with bots. The maps work on Steam and Non-Steam CS 1.6.

How to install cs 1.6 assault maps
- Extract the RAR with WinRAR or 7-Zip
- Copy all
.bspfiles into thecstrike\mapsfolder - If the archive contains
.wadfiles, copy them into thecstrikefolder - If the archive contains folders like
sound,modelsorgfx, copy them intocstrikeand let Windows merge them with the existing folders
Where to find the maps folder:
- Steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\cstrike\maps - Non-Steam: right-click your CS 1.6 shortcut → Properties → the Target field shows the install folder → open
cstrike\maps
The first time you load a new map with bots, the game can pause for a while as bots analyze the map. This happens only once per map.
How to change map in cs 1.6
Once the assault maps are installed, use one of these commands to switch to them. Replace cs_assault_hd with any map name from the table above.
Offline game or your own listen server
Choose the map in New Game, or open the console with ~ and type:
map cs_assault_hd
map loads the map from scratch. On a server with players connected, use changelevel instead – it switches the map without disconnecting anyone.
Dedicated server console or RCON
changelevel cs_assault_hd rcon changelevel cs_assault_hd
Use the first line in the server console and the second from your game console after setting rcon_password.

Add assault maps to the server map cycle
Upload the map files to the same folders on the server and add the map names to mapcycle.txt, one per line:
cs_assault_hd cs_assault2k cs_assault_2006
Players who do not have the maps download them from the server when they connect, if downloads are enabled on the server.
