CS 1.6 Hostage Protection AMXX Plugin – Block Hostage Kills

Counter-Strike 1.6 Hostage Protection 1.8 by HamletEagle is an AMX Mod X hostage protection plugin for cs 1.6 game. It blocks all damage to hostages, so they cannot be killed, and can punish players who shoot them – with a slap, slay, ban or a random penalty.
Use it on counter-strike 1.6 servers that run hostage maps like cs_assault, cs_italy or cs_office, where one player killing hostages can ruin the round for everyone. On maps without hostages the plugin pauses itself automatically.

Example for a public server – block both teams and slay anyone who shoots a hostage:
hp_blockteam b hp_punishment 2
Add the cvars to amxmodx/configs/amxx.cfg or server.cfg.
Hostage protection not working – what to check
- Hostages still die: check
hp_blockteam– withtonly terrorists are blocked - Plugin seems inactive: it pauses itself on maps without hostages, which is normal
- Messages show as strange keys:
hostage_protection.txtis missing fromdata/lang/ - Ban punishment too harsh: a permanent ban with
hp_ban_time 0catches accidental hits too. Use slap or slay on public servers
