How to install cs 1.6 bb maps

1. Extract map_pack_bb.rar with WinRAR or 7-Zip
2. Copy all .bsp files into the cstrike\maps folder
3. If the archive also contains .wad files, copy them into cstrike. Folders like sound, models, sprites or gfx go into cstrike as well – let Windows merge them with the existing ones

• Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\cstrike\maps
• Non-Steam: right-click your CS 1.6 shortcut → Properties → the Target field shows the install folder → open cstrike\maps

How to play bb maps and change map in cs 1.6

Replace bb_construction in the commands below with any map from the table.

Offline game or your own listen server

Choose the map in New Game, or open the console with ~ and type:

map bb_construction

Offline the map loads as a normal map. The building phase, movable blocks and zombie release come from the Base Builder mod installed on the server.

Dedicated server console or RCON

changelevel bb_construction
rcon changelevel bb_construction

Use the first line in the server console and the second from your game console after setting rcon_password. changelevel switches the map without disconnecting players, while map loads it from scratch.

Add bb maps to the server map cycle

Upload the map files to the same folders on the server and add the map names to mapcycle.txt, one per line:

bb_construction
bb_megabuild
bb_area51

If your server uses a map vote plugin, also add the maps to its map list – for example maps.ini, or the file set in the Galileo map vote plugin. Players who do not have the maps download them from the server when they connect, if downloads are enabled.
