Best Anti-Cheat Plugins for Your Counter-Strike 1.6 Server

Last updated: July 28, 2026

A complete list of Counter-Strike 1.6 anti-cheat plugins and tools – what each one does, what it catches, and where to get it. If you’re still looking for a clean Counter-Strike 1.6 download before setting up your server, grab it from our portal first. CS 1.6 server-side plugins that run automatically, client-side anti-cheat that players install, cs 1.6 ban management panels, and on-demand scan tools are all covered below.

Server-side cs 1.6 anti-cheat plugins

Counter-Strike 1.6 server-side anti-cheat tools run on your ReHLDS server machine. Players don’t need to install anything – protection is applied the moment they connect to your cs 1.6 server.

Recommended cs 1.6 anti-cheat stack

The best combination of free cs 1.6 server anti-cheat plugins currently available: ReChecker + ReAimDetector + WHBlocker. These three cover different attack surfaces – ReChecker scans files on connect, ReAimDetector monitors aimbot and nospread in real time, WHBlocker prevents wallhack data from reaching clients. Running all three together gives you layered coverage that no single plugin provides on its own.

If you want stronger file-based detection and are willing to pay for it, Vanga Anti-Cheat is a paid alternative to ReChecker. The key difference: ReChecker loads a separate cheat database file every time the map changes and only blocks the cheats listed in that specific file – anything not in that particular file gets ignored. You also can’t add unlimited cheats to a single list because the CS 1.6 server will crash above a certain threshold. Vanga solves this by tracking in real time and pulling known cheat signatures from a live cloud database, so its detection list is always current without manual file management. Paid license: fungun.net/shop.

ReChecker

ReChecker is a Metamod module that checks each connecting player’s Counter-Strike 1.6 game files against a database of known cheat signatures. If a player has modified files matching a known cheat, they get flagged automatically – kicked or banned depending on your configuration. It doesn’t catch new or private cheats it hasn’t seen, but it’s reliable against the cheats that most cs 1.6 players actually use. Official download: github.com/rehlds/rechecker.

WHBlocker

WHBlocker is a Metamod module that prevents cs 1.6 wallhacks from working by controlling which enemy position data gets sent to each client. Instead of detecting the wallhack, it removes the data the wallhack would display – a player running a wallhack on a server with WHBlocker active gains nothing from it. Part of the recommended free cs 1.6 anti-cheat stack alongside ReChecker and ReAimDetector. Download: plugins.csdownload.net/whblocker.zip.

ReAimDetector

ReAimDetector is an AMXX module for ReHLDS servers that detects cs 1.6 aimbot and nospread cheats by monitoring aiming patterns in real time. It looks for unnatural precision and instantaneous aim-locking that aren’t achievable by hand. When a detection occurs, admins are notified through console or chat and can configure automatic responses – warning, kick, or permanent ban. It’s the recommended aimbot detector over the default detection built into other plugins. Note: ReAimDetector requires ReHLDS and ReGameDLL – it will not work on a standard HLDS server. Download: plugins.csdownload.net/ReAimDetector.zip.

HPP Hack Blocker

HPP Hack Blocker is an AMXX plugin that blocks packet-based exploits and specific hack methods at the network level. Lightweight and runs fully server-side with no player interaction. Available directly from our HPP Hack Blocker download page.

Ultimate Anti-Cheat (UAC) by ByM

The UAC pack is a community-assembled collection that combines ReChecker, WHBlocker, ReAimDetector, and an AMXX core plugin into one layered setup. The AMXX core detects aimbot, spinbot, speedhack, rapid-fire, bhop scripts, fake player detection, and fast name changes – a common evasion technique where cheaters rename themselves rapidly to confuse logging. It’s the most complete cs 1.6 server anti-cheat solution available. More complex to set up than a single plugin, but covers far more ground than any individual tool. Note: the UAC pack requires ReHLDS – it will not function correctly on standard HLDS. Full pack and step-by-step installation: github.com/milutinke/Ultimate-Anti-Cheat-UAC.

Client-side anti-cheat – sXe Injected

sXe Injected is a client+server Counter-Strike 1.6 anti-cheat system. Players install it on their own machine and it runs alongside cs 1.6, blocking cheat software at injection level before it can load. Servers install a companion component that prevents players without sXe Injected from connecting. Because it intercepts at injection level it blocks cheats that server-side signature scanning can’t see.

The limitation is access. Any player who hasn’t installed sXe Injected can’t join. This works well for competitive communities and clan servers where players expect it, but it noticeably reduces population on general public servers. There’s also a documented history of sXe Injected occasionally triggering VAC false positives on Steam accounts – worth communicating to Steam players before they install it. Note that sXe Injected has not been updated since 2012 – it still works on CS 1.6 but receives no new cheat signature updates. Official download and server component: sxe-injected.com.

CS 1.6 server ban management – AMXBans and CS-Bans

Counter-Strike 1.6 anti-cheat plugins catch cheaters, but without a cs 1.6 ban management system those bans exist only in local text files. You can’t share them across multiple servers, review them through a browser, or let banned players submit appeals in any structured way.

AMXBans is the most widely used cs 1.6 ban panel. Bans issued through AMXX admin commands go into a MySQL database automatically. Admins get a web interface to view ban history, add manual bans, set expiry dates, and handle appeals. If you run more than one server, ban lists can sync across all of them so a cheater banned on one is automatically blocked everywhere. Download and installation at our AMXBans 6.13 page.

CS-Bans is a newer alternative with a cleaner interface. If you’re setting up from scratch and haven’t committed to a ban system yet, it’s worth considering. Full installation guide covering Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS at our CS-Bans installation guide.

On-demand player scans – ECD and Wargods

When automated cs 1.6 anti-cheat tools haven’t flagged someone but an admin suspects cheating from watching in spectator, on-demand scans let you ask that player to run a check on their own machine.

ECD from fungun is the most actively used on-demand cs 1.6 cheat scan tool right now. The player runs it while connected to the server, it scans running processes and files for known cheat signatures, and the result goes to the admin. A player who refuses to scan is treated the same as a failed scan on most competitive servers. Full explanation of what ECD checks and how the process works: ECD cheat scan guide.

Wargods (WCD) is an older scan tool still used on some servers. Same principle – run on request, results reviewed by admin. Our Wargods scan guide covers the process from the player’s side.

What admins catch that plugins miss

No cs 1.6 anti-cheat plugin catches everything. Sophisticated or private cheats get through automated detection. Admins who know what to look for in Counter-Strike 1.6 catch what the plugins don’t.

  • Spectate in first-person, not free-roam. First-person spectating shows exactly what the player sees. Aimbot snaps and pre-aim through walls are visible even when a player’s stats look plausible.
  • Know what each cheat looks like. Wallhack tells include pre-aiming corners before an enemy appears and tracking enemies through solid surfaces. Aimbot tells include crosshair snapping during reloads, inhuman tracking on moving targets, and instant headshots at distances where even pro players burst fire. See our most common CS 1.6 cheats guide for what each type looks like from an observer.
  • Record demos before permanent bans. CS 1.6 demo recording lets you review play after the fact. Many communities review demos before making a final decision – it prevents permanently banning unusually skilled legitimate players.
  • Shared ban lists across servers. AMXBans and CS-Bans both support cross-server synchronisation. A cheater banned on one server in your network is blocked from all of them automatically.

For the player-side view – what players do when asked to prove they’re clean – see the ECD scan guide and the guide to removing cheats from a PC.
